Overcoming Fear

Humans are considered to be at the top of the food chain above all other species. I would begin to argue that although humans are at the top of the food chain physically, there is an even bigger predator that could kill a human, and that predator is called fear. Fear is the primary cause for stress, doubt and worry, all things that could not only destroy a human mentally but also physically. Stress is caused by a fear of what may happen. Studies have shown that stress can cause all sorts of health issues from minor headaches to even ulcers. Now why is it that some people are able to conquer this fear and remain at the top of the food chain? The only enemy that is able to conquer fear is faith.

"Fear is the primary cause for stress, doubt and worry all things that could not only destroy a human mentally but also physically."

Now I’m not saying you have to religious to have faith. The definition of faith is complete confidence or trust in someone or something. Faith, just like fear, does not exist. They are all created in your mind. Some people will argue that there is no God because you cannot see him or touch him. There are also people that will argue you with you about how they fear something bad will happen and explain to you how they KNOW it is true (these are usually the same people as the first.) So which one do you let control you, faith or fear?

"Faith, just like fear, does not exist. They are all created in your mind."

We can make it as simple as fear is what is considered bad and faith would be considered good. Let’s just take the definition of faith for example. Nowhere in the definition does it talk about religion or God, so we will not be referring to that for this situation. Having complete confidence in someone i.e. yourself would be a good feeling. If you knew without a doubt that you will succeed, that is complete confidence. That would be a good feeling right? So we will relate faith to good. Now fear on the other hand is an unpleasant emotion caused by the belief someone or something is dangerous. So that belief would be a bad feeling right? So we will relate that to bad.

"Having complete confidence in someone, for example yourself,

would be a good feeling."

If you are living your life in fear, then you are choosing to create a bad feeling in yourself from something that does not exist. Everyone is born innocent and with no fear except two fears: the fear of falling and the fear of loud noises. Every other fear you create. The fear of poverty, fear of death, fear of criticism, fear of ill health, fear of losing a loved one and fear of failures are all created by our choosing. Now most people allow these bad feeling that they create in them to hold them back from living their dreams. That is what the average person does, they will let fear control them their entire life and since what you focus on grows, their biggest fears become their reality. They will spend all their life arguing that bad things always happen to them and if you argue for your limitations long enough, eventually they become yours.

"Everyone is born with only two fears: the fear of falling and the fear of loud noises. Every other fear you create."

The difference between an average person and a successful person is an average person lives his life in fear while a successful person lives his life in faith. Both are created by choice. See successful people don’t like the feeling of fear, they do not like to feel bad. They realize that faith and fear are both created by choice. They know that no good things come from fear. So instead of choosing to live their life in fear they choose to live their life in faith. The average person chooses fear because it is natural and easy to do. If having faith were easy there would be more successful people than there are average people. It’s not easy to stay positive and have faith when the ENTIRE world is thinking negative and focusing on the negative, creating even more negative. Will it be easy? No. Will it be worth it? Imagine living your life without the fear of poverty, fear of death, fear of criticism, fear of ill health, fear of losing a loved one and fear of failure. Imagine the possibilites. Imagine the excitement each day might bring. You can either choose to live your life in fear or with faith. Whatever you choose,

"The difference between an average person and a successful person is an average person lives his life in fear, while a successful person lives his life in faith."

DON’T BE AVERAGE!!!
